Overview
ATA Career Education, formerly Career Institute of Florida, is devoted to graduates and professionals seeking career advancement in the Allied Health field. It offers an array of programs with courses typically ranging from 7 to 13 months. Classes are flexible to accommodate busy schedules with full-time and part-time classes.

Student Appeal
ATA features short-term or accelerated training programs focused on occupations with high growth potential. Its open enrollment schedule offers flexibility and convenience for students with a busy lifestyle. Classroom sizes are 24 students or fewer. The student body is primarily made up of professionals and working adults. The career services department can help students with job placement upon graduation.

Programs Offered:
  • Medical AssistantMedical Assistant
    This Diploma program features training in diverse clinical and administrative skills. The curriculum includes interviewing patients to obtain medical histories, preparing patients for examination and x-rays, collecting laboratory specimens, administering medications, monitoring special diets, and removing sutures. Students also learn to update medical records, billing, bookkeeping, and assorted administrative duties to maximize their employment potential.
  • Medical Coding/BillingMedical Coding/Billing
    In addition to externship for on-the-job learning, students in this program gain knowledge in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, human pathology, as well as the management, computer operation, and medical coding skills necessary to become a coder qualified to work for insurance companies, hospitals, private practices, and other organizations in the healthcare field.



ATA Career Education is licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, Florida Department of Education and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC). ACCSC is a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.
