Overview
Since its foundation in 1983, Central Coast College has provided students with an education in a variety of career-related programs. Students choose from learning the skills needed to be marketable in the fields of Computer Office Administration, Computer Specialist Accounting, Medical Biller/Coder, Medical Assisting and other service-related situations. The school is located in Salinas, California.

Student Appeal
Career-minded students take advantage of the career placement assistance available to them following completion of one of the school's programs. The Career Services Department provides services that help students transition into a career related to their program of study. Students also gain work experience while still completing their program through internships and externships. Students graduating from CCC have a high success rate of finding a job in their chosen field.

Financial
Several options are available for students to finance their education at CCC and the school provides financial experts to help. Federal, state and local programs make tuition affordable for qualified students. The Federal Pell Grant, PLUS, Cal Grants and Workforce Investment Act are just a few of the financial programs available. Students are encouraged to apply for aid when applying for admission.

    The curriculum in this program focuses on completing tasks like bookkeeping, documents, reports and answering telephones. Learning spreadsheets, computerized accounting and other important office tasks are also explored. On-the-job experience is included prior to graduation.
  • Computer Specialist: AccountingComputer Specialist: Accounting
    Students interested in an accounting career benefit from the curriculum in this program. Instructors teach courses that focus on various accounting systems, word processing, computerized spreadsheets and other vital accounting skills. Graduates tend to get jobs as accounting clerks, bookkeeping assistants and others.
  • Health Information and Patient ServicesHealth Information and Patient Services
    The healthcare industry is filled with opportunities in a number of exciting occupations. If you are seeking a rewarding career in an industry that continues to see tremendous growth, the Central Coast College Health Information and Patient Services Program is right for you.
  • Medical AssistingMedical Assisting
    This program provides students with the skills they need to successfully assist in a physician's office or other health-related setting. Students learn about administrative techniques, clinical skills, laboratory procedures and patient care. And extensive externship is available for on-the-job training.
