    Designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in accounting, insurance, finance, real estate, or other areas of business, this curriculum offers an in-depth study of accounting and accounting applications, the use of computers and data processing applications, economics, psychology, and related business courses. Graduates will have the education and training to analyze accounts for audit purposes, maintain subsidiary records, reconcile bank accounts, and perform other business accounting practices.

    This program prepares students for employment in fashion merchandising with instruction emphasizing visual and retail merchandising, fashion promotion, color and design, textiles, fashion accessories, and the fundamentals of selling. Graduates are eligible for A+ and Network+ examinations sponsored by the Computing Technology Industry Association, and certain Microsoft Certified Professional examinations.

In addition, the coursework feature training with a firearm simulator capable of providing hundreds of simulated real-world law enforcement scenarios.

    Students of this program receive training in the knowledge and skills necessary to be an integral part of a dental practice, learning how to perform duties such as radiographs, instrument sterilization, tray setups, four-handed dentistry, equipment maintenance, impressions, model trimming, charting, and dental reception duties. Also, the curriculum is designed to prepare graduates for the certification of registration exam as approved by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE).

In addition, this program helps prepare students for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute (ARI) EPA Technician Certification Exam.

  • Medical Assisting - Occupational Associate in Specialized TechnologyMedical Assisting - Occupational Associate in Specialized Technology
    As medical assistants are trained to help put patients at ease and assist the physician or other health care practitioner with routine medical office procedures, this program prepares student for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to keep the medical office running smoothly. Instruction is also offered on OSHA regulations, with emphasis on biohazardous waste containment and state regulations regarding overall safety in the workplace. Graduates are eligible to take the Certified Medical Assistant exam sponsored by the American Association of Medical Assistants.
  • Medical Billing and Coding Specialist - DiplomaMedical Billing and Coding Specialist - Diploma
    This program features classroom lectures and lab training in medical coding and terminology; health insurance, including paperwork, legal issues, and insurance fraud; as well as general office procedures such as the use of office machines, keyboarding and computer applications. Students are required to complete an externship at an approved facility, and will be eligible for the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) examination sponsored by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) upon graduation.
  • Medical Office Assistant - DiplomaMedical Office Assistant - Diploma
    Through hands-on experience in simulated medical and dental office environments, as well as externship at a local health care facility, students of this program develop the skills required to manage daily operations in a medical or dental office, handing such procedures as insurance billing and coding, maintaining patient records, bandaging, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first aid, basic radiography, patient care and practice management. Graduates often look toward employment as insurance processor, medical records clerk, or medical transcriber in a medical or dental office, hospital, clinic, home health agency, or insurance company.
  • Medical Office Specialist - DiplomaMedical Office Specialist - Diploma
    Graduates of this program have the skills to perform administrative duties in various medical settings, including filing insurance claims for both group and private practice insurance, CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding, medical transcription, accounts payable and receivable, patient files and filing systems, payroll and financial statements, and reception duties. Those eligible will also be able to take the Medical Practice Coder (MPC) exam sponsored by American Certification Agency for Health Care Professionals (ACA).

    At the core of this curriculum are discussions, lectures, and hands-on laboratory experience to develop the administrative, communication, management, and accounting skills necessary for students to find success in the health care field as a medical practice manager, medical office manager, or other similar position in a health care facility.
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant - Associate in Specialized TechnologyOccupational Therapy Assistant - Associate in Specialized Technology
    In this program, students accumulate real-world experience through externships in the community, as well as acquiring knowledge and expertise in helping people with varying levels of disabilities to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills as an occupational therapy assistant. Graduates of the program are eligible for the national certification examination for the occupational therapy assistant, administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
  • Paralegal - Associate of Applied ScienceParalegal - Associate of Applied Science
    This program offers training to build a solid, comprehensive foundation in paralegal studies, in areas such as legal research, civil litigation, contracts, and criminal law. It prepares students for diverse career opportunities, including title examiner, legislative aide, claims adjuster, appraiser, fraud investigator, occupational safety technician, regulatory analyst, and more.
  • Pharmacy Technician - DiplomaPharmacy Technician - Diploma
    Graduates of this program are able to perform general pharmaceutical duties such as reading physicians' orders and hospital charts; preparing medications for dispensing; keeping patients' medical profiles; maintaining inventory; generating billing; preparing third-party insurance forms; and preparing unit dose medications, IV admixtures, and sterile irrigation. If eligible, they may also take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam (PTCE) sponsored by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board.
  • Phlebotomy/EKG Technician - DiplomaPhlebotomy/EKG Technician - Diploma
    This program is intended for students seeking to take on the role of a phlebotomy/EKG technician crucial to the accurate diagnose and treatment of patients. They acquire the knowledge and technical skills needed to carry out specific duties, including performing venipuncture by vacutainer, butterfly, and syringe methods; collecting capillary blood; performing electrocardiography with basic interpretation; and assisting with infection control, minor laboratory testing, medical record documentation, and data entry. Eligible graduates will also be ready for the Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) exam sponsored by the National Allied Health Test Registry.
  • Refrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning Service Technician - DiplomaRefrigeration, Heating, Ventilation, and Air-Conditioning Service Technician - Diploma
    The objective of this curriculum is to provide students with the electrical and mechanical knowledge and performance skills required of entry-level technicians to install, adjust, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential and commercial refrigeration, heating and air conditioning equipment for proper operation and efficiency. The courses will teach the fundamentals of refrigeration, principles of electricity, residential and commercial refrigeration, heat load calculations, duct sizing, heating, air conditioning, humidifying, and air cleaning.
