San Juan College

Overview
San Juan College is a public community college, which got its start in 1956 as a branch of the New Mexico College of Agricultural and Mechanical Arts. Over the years enrollment in the school grew, and by the early 1980's San Juan got its own campus and became known officially as the Junior College District of San Juan County. Today, the college has expanded with its own satellite campuses, and has become an integral part of the New Mexico landscape--the school's economic report estimates that its presence has a $46.4 million impact on the New Mexico tax base, through increased earnings for students and higher business income.
